SourceGO Adds India Factories

The Washington-based sourcing firm SourceGO has opened a new office in Delhi, India, to accommodate demand for companies affected by U.S. and European Union safeguards imposed on apparel made in China.

SourceGO provides full-package sourcing contacts as well as client transactional services such as sourcing quotes and tracking services via the Internet. It also has a fabric export service between China and India.

The company said it has signed some of the largest apparel factories in India to its network and database. These factories supply resources such as Benetton, Diesel, Gap, H&M, J.C. Penney, Sears, Levi Strauss, Talbots, Target, Van Heusen, Wal-Mart and Zara. SourceGO also has offices in Shanghai, Washington, Miami and Verona, Italy.

“Fashion buyers can plan sourcing for 2006 regardless of the current uncertainties of evolving trade issues,” according to Mike Mikkelborg, SourceGO partner and Shanghai- based sourcing general manager. “SourceGO’s industry professionals in India have the same direct, hands-on [quality assurance] and supervision of every project as we have in China and every other producer market.” —Robert McAllister
