Minimum Wage Bill Quashed
As expected, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed California Assembly Bill 48, which sought to raise the state minimum wage by $1 over the next two years to $7.75, and to peg future hikes to increases in inflation. California has one of the highest minimum wages in the nation; the federal minimum is $5.15.
