BC Ethic's Katrina Concert
Vernon, Calif.–based menswear brand BC Ethic teamed with Los Angeles radio station Indie 103.1 and musician Dave Navarro to host a benefit concert on Sept. 29 at the Key Club in Hollywood. Nearly $30,000 was raised through ticket and T-shirt sales, and organizers are planning to donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross. BC Ethic designed a T-shirt for the event, which is available on the company’s Web site (www.bcethic.com). Among the bands and musicians that performed were Navarro’s Camp Freddy, Hot Karl, Rob Zombie, Mark McGrath, Incubus’ Brandon Boyd, The Cult’s Billy Duffy, Alice in Chains’ Jerry Cantrell, the Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones and Berlin’s Terri Nunn.
