Empire State, a New York–based T-shirt line, celebrated its Spring 2006 collection with a bash at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. Designer Michael Sherman (right) with old friend actor Jon Abrahams, showed guests his new designs, which featured rock stars and pop-culture icons. New for Spring ’06 were hoodies for men. Girls will have to wait for hoodies a little while longer, the designer said. —Erin Barajas
