Paige Premium Denim is an example of a company moving briskly. Paige Adams-Geller started the premium-denim company with her husband, Michael Geller (both pictured), earlier this year, and on Nov. 17 they celebrated the opening of a Paige store on trendy Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Instead of a typical red carpet, guests including supermodels Estella Warren and Amber Valletta and actresses Angela Bassett and Joely Fisher of the TV show “Desperate Housewives” entered the store via a blue denim carpet. Paige’s men’s line, PPD, also debuted at the store Nov. 17. Jewelry and accessories line Virgins, Saints & Angels, based in Mexico, will have a display case devoted to the line at the store. Adams-Geller surveyed the party and said she couldn’t believe her good fortune. “I’m surprised by everything. Having a store on Robertson. Having my name on a building,” she said. —Andrew Asch
