Mossimo Giannulli, founder of Santa Monica–based Mossimo Inc., has dropped his bid to take his company private after failing to garner the support of the company’s board of directors. Giannulli has been trying to purchase the outstanding shares of the company. He offered to purchase the stock at $5 per share.
