New at Ashworth
Carlsbad-based golf-apparel maker Ashworth Inc. named John W. Richardson director of the company’s board beginning Dec. 12. Richardson is senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of Qwest Communications International Inc. According to a company statement, Richardson’s knowledge of Sarbanes- Oxley compliance and his experience at a Fortune 500 company make him well suited for the position. The company is searching for three or four more directors for the board.
