Job Growth
Greater Los Angeles added more than 60,000 non-farm jobs this year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employment in the region including Los Angeles, Long Beach and Santa Ana was up by 64,500 jobs in September over last year, according to the BLS, which found that the region posted the largest year-toyear decrease in the number of people out of work (down by 1.5 percent).
