Trunk Hires COO/CFO, Moves to Culver City
Growing T-shirt company Trunk Ltd. recently hired former BCBG Max Azria executive Cyndi Hench as chief operations officer and chief financial officer.
In addition, the company has relocated its headquarters to Culver City, Calif., from Santa Monica, Calif.
The 2-year-old company is known for its range of sportswear featuring vintage rock T-shirts with emblems from classic bands and musicians, including AC/DC, Alice Cooper and Yes. The company also produces a Trunk-branded line.
To address the growth, projected to double over last year’s, the company created the new dual position that Hench will oversee. She will be responsible for centralizing the company’s internal operations and overseeing finance, administration and corporate protocol.
Hench was formerly the vice president of financial operations for BCBG. She is a certified public accountant and a graduate of Loyola Marymount University. She has also worked for Nestleacute;, Office Depot, PacTel Cellular and L.A. Gear.
“With Trunk Ltd.’s exponential retail growth, it became clear that we needed someone of Cyndi’s knowledge and expertise to help take the company to the next level,” said Brad Beckerman, the company’s chief executive officer and creative director.
“The new building gives us space to spread our wings. We have some huge licenses we will be announcing,” Beckerman added.
Trunk’s new 10,000-square-foot headquarters and warehouse are located at 8675 Hayden Place in Culver City, near Smashbox Studios and other apparel companies, including Rock & Republic. The company is a division of Cinq Group.
