Executive Changes at Apparel Ventures

Apparel Ventures Inc., the swimwear company that holds licenses for established brands such as Ralph Lauren and generates $100 million in annual wholesale volume, made changes to its executive roster in the wake of the resignation of its president.

Apparel Ventures said Bill Singletary will add the duties of chief operating officer to his current responsibilities as chief financial officer. The company also said Howard Greller, the head of contemporary/juniors division Blue Water Design Co., will be promoted to chief design and merchandising officer for all divisions.

Lynne Koplin resigned in late April as president. The company said she left “to pursue consulting opportunities.” Koplin could not be reached for comment.

Los Angeles–based Apparel Ventures holds the swimwear licenses for Ralph Lauren, Anne Klein, Tommy Bahama and Rampage and also designs and manufactures its own labels, La Blanca by Rod Beattie and Sessa.
