Avery Relocates Inland Empire Plant
Pasadena, Calif.–based tags and labels manufacturer Avery Dennison Corp. has sold its Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., production facility and is moving into a new leased facility nearby, according to real estate brokers.Avery sold its Ninth Street plant for $5.5 million to Secard Pools, a local swimming pool and spa company, according to Cushman & Wakefield.
Avery had occupied the 140,000-square-foot facility for 50 years. The company is taking advantage of a strong real estate market and will lease a 126,000-square-foot building in the more modern Arrow Business Park, said Cushman & Wakefield brokers. The lease is valued at $3.7 million over seven years.
Avery makes labels for garments and is a major supplier of tags utilizing radio frequency identification technology, which uses radio waves to track shipments. —Robert McAllister
