VF Buys Reef
Greensboro, N.C.–based VF Corp. has inked a deal to buy actionsports footwear maker Reef Holdings Corp. Reef, which will remain based in San Diego, joins VF’s stable of brands, including Lee, Wrangler, Vanity Fair, Lily of France, Nautica, Earl Jean, John Varvatos and The North Face. Last year, VF purchased Santa Fe Springs, Calif.–based footwear and apparel maker Vans Inc.
