Every day is Valentine’s Day at The Pink Room at The Company Z.

Seven months after opening a showroom on the California Market Center’s fifth floor, Nora Zuckerman moved in January across the street to her present location on The New Mart’s second floor. Tucked in a corner behind the elevators, the compact, square space barely contains enough room for the clothes from the eight lines Zuckerman represents. But the shock of pink that gives the showroom its name reminds one of a teen-age girl’s bedroom, overflowing with frills, lace and rhinestones.

“We’re really girly and flirty in here,” said Zuckerman, who runs the showroom with Stacy Bowman and Brittney Brandon.

Pink is the color of choice not only for the walls and plastic bubble chairs but also for the plush square ottomans and the frosted cookies that resemble circus animals.

It seems natural that one of her leading lines is Pink Polka Dot, designed by Sharise Neil, the ex-wife of Mouml;tley Cruuml;e frontman Vince Neil. The line offers lingerie and halter tops with rhinestone details ($23 to $41 wholesale). Zuckerman also represents Jaime Lauren’s Lure collection, which features gold chain-mail trim and chiffon on cotton tank tops and skirts ($22 to $110 wholesale). The other labels in the showroom are: Divas, novelty T-shirts ($29 wholesale); Boombox, cotton and fleece sweat-shirt dresses ($29 to $39 wholesale); Joey and T, leather miniskirts and print tees ($22 to $89 wholesale); Dex, a collection of coats, novelty tops and knit miniskirts ($29 to $60 wholesale); Jude Clothing Co., denim and fleece skirts and jackets ($35 to $80 wholesale); and Moodeo, cotton tees that change color when subjected to heat ($13 to $18 wholesale).

With the exception of Dex and Jude, which are both based in Montreal, all the lines come from Los Angeles. —Khanh T.L. Tran
