Panattoni Launches Retail Real Estate Division
Sacramento, Calif.–based Panattoni Development Co., known for its big industrial and office projects, has opened a retail division and plans to develop shopping centers throughout the state as well as in other parts of the West.
The new division will be based in Irvine, Calif., and will be headed by partner Jeff Pintar. Adon Panattoni will be the director of the Southern California region, while Gary Muljat will oversee Northern California. The company plans to open another office in Denver.
“With 2 million square feet already underway, we’ve hit the ground running,” said Chief Executive Officer Carl Panattoni. “It is our expectation that we soon shall have a retail capability in each of the 18 offices operating now under the Panattoni name.”
The company plans to target everything from regional shopping centers to mixed-use developments.
The privately held company, founded in 1986, develops about 10 million square feet of property a year. —Robert McAllister
