Gen Art Issues Call for Styles Entries
New York–based art and fashion organization Gen Art has issued a call for entries for its seventh annual International Styles Competition, set for May 17 in New York.
The deadline for submissions is March 18 for several categories, including women’s ready-to-wear, menswear, women’s avantgarde, women’s eveningwear and accessories.
Entries are also being accepted for the Perrier Bubbling Under Award for design, which will also be awarded at the May 17 event. The winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000.
Thirty designers will be considered for more than $35,000 in cash prizes and the chance to participate in the runway show. Designers featured in previous years include Peter Som, Obedient Sons, Liz Collis and Peter Chow.
The International Styles competition is sponsored by Acura, Beck’s Premium Light, L’Oreal Feria and the Project Global Trade Show.
