Poolside at the Miami Swim Shows
Miami Beach played host to the inaugural season of the Sunglass Hut Swim Shows Miami Presented by Lycra, during which designers from Miami; New York; Tel Aviv, Israel; Satilde;o Paulo, Brazil; Los Angeles; and the O.C. showed their Cruise 2006 swim collections under three tents at The Raleigh. The newly renovated hotel’s art deco pool provided a chic backdrop for the designers debuting their lines during the July 16–19 run of the shows.
Editors, stylists, company execs and buyers in town for the Swimwear Association of Florida’s Miami Swim Show found it convenient to attend the four-day fashion show event. When business was completed on the floor of the Miami Beach Convention Center, they walked the two short blocks to The Raleigh for the presentation of the Cruise 2006 swim collections on the runway.
