Miami SwimShow Cruise '06: Cosabella Mare
Italian designer Ugo Campello created an urban safari look for his second Cosabella Mare swimwear collection, which features the same quality and comfortable fit of the 23-year-old Miami-based company’s lingerie collection.
True to the tradition of Cosabella lingerie, color was a dominant theme. Inspired by Campello’s travels throughout Africa and India, the collection was fresh and vibrant in solid white, flame and black and multicolor ethnic and soft bubble prints. Natural shell and bead details, macrameacute; trims and wooden hardware decorated the modern silhouettes.
Standout looks included a white eyelet maillot, a black cutout one-piece and a graphic ethnic-print bikini. —N. Jayne Seward
