Miami SwimShow Cruise '06: Carmen Marc Valvo Swim
Known for his couture eveningwear, New York–based designer Carmen Marc Valvo turned out a mixture of swimwear and coordinating resort looks for both men and women for his new Carmen Marc Valvo Swim collection. Decorated with tropical, animal and geometric ethnic prints, the clothing was suitable for any exotic vacation destination.
Valvo said Miami is the perfect setting for the collection because of the city’s cross-cultural mix of chic, sophisticated and stylish people.
“I wanted the swimwear to be not about a bathing suit that you go swimming in, but it’s a fashion wardrobe for when you go to the pool, to the club or when you’re on the yacht,” he said. —N. Jayne Seward
