Cotton's Central Connection
Hong Kong–based Central Textiles is the first Hong Kong/China licensee for Cotton Inc.’s Engineered Fiber Selection Cotton Fiber Management System. The software application helps guarantee fiber consistency between bales of cotton fiber used by Central Textiles, which purchases 250,000 bales of cotton from the United States each year. Central Textiles operates a 57,000-square-meter spinning mill in the Guangdong province and plans to open a second mill soon. Cotton Inc. has licensed its EFS system to mills in the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, Mexico, Canada, South Korea, Italy, the Philippines, Portugal and the United States.
