Valentino in O.C.
Italian design house Valentino opened a 3,000-square-foot store on July 11 in the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif. As at Valentino’s five other North American stores, the boutique’s main attraction was the Fall collection from Valentino Roma, Valentino eveningwear and Valentino R.E.D. The store also offered some exclusives for the South Coast Plaza location such as the baby duffel purse ($1,175) and ballet-flat shoes with pearl baubles. Valentino’s South Coast Plaza location is designed very much like the design house’s Las Vegas boutique, where an accessories section divides the men’s and women’s departments. Valentino’s Costa Mesa neighbors include Nordstrom and Chanel. —Andrew Asch
