Paxar Names New CFO

Anthony “Tony” Colatrella was appointed vice president and chief financial officer for White Plains, N.Y.–based tags and labels specialist Paxar Corp.

Effective July 18, Colatrella will replace interim Chief Financial Officer James R. Painter, who will return to his duties as a member of Paxar’s board of directors.

Colatrella comes to Paxar after spending 28 years in various senior financial leadership positions with three major companies: Verizon, United Technologies Corp. and The Scotts Co.

Most recently, he was senior vice president and corporate controller at Scotts, where he managed the Sarbanes-Oxley project and was responsible for all aspects of financial control, external reporting, and financial planning and analysis for the $2 billion public corporation.

Colatrella will report to Paxar President Rob van der Merwe. —Robert McAllister
