Gerber Announces Sales Manager
Tolland, Conn.–based Gerber Technology Inc. promoted Jonathan Smith to sales manager of product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for North America.
Smith previously served as senior sales executive for PDM products. He will report to Bud Staples, regional director, North America/Canada.
In his new role, Smith will be responsible for leading Gerber’s sales team in growing the company’s WebPDM business and expanding into the PLM arena. The North America PDM account executives will report directly to Smith.
Smith, who joined Gerber in 1993, served most recently as senior account executive, selling WebPDM products to apparel manufacturers and retailers in the Northeast and Midwestern United States as well as in Eastern Canada.
Before joining Gerber, Smith held a number of sales and marketing positions with such companies as On-Line Software Inc., Martin Marietta Data Systems and Mathematica. —Robert McAllister
