Brothers & Sisters to Receive Dallas Award
Brothers & Sisters Inc., which operates showrooms in Los Angeles and New York, will receive the Best of Scene award during the 30th Annual Dallas Fashion Awards, set for Oct. 29 in Dallas.
The award is presented to the most outstanding exhibitor for the new Scene contemporary show, launched last March at Fashion Center Dallas.
Brothers & Sisters is a 10-year-old company owned by Chris Seelig. The showrooms carry a large mix of West Coast labels, including Sanctuary, Zooey, Jet, Cris, Paige Premium Denim and City of Angels. Other lines include Future Paradise and Only Hearts.
The company’s Los Angeles showroom is based in The New Mart.
“Brothers & Sisters has an unmatched reputation for representing some of the most fashionable new brands in the apparel business,” said Bill Winsor, president and chief executive officer of the DMC, in a statement. “With this award, we honor Brothers & Sisters for their support, and we wish them continued success.”
In addition, DMC officials said that South Norwalk, Conn.–based shirt company Nat Nast will receive the Best of Men’s award.A Fashion Excellence award recipient will be named later as will winners in eight other categories.
The awards show will also host several charity events benefiting the Fashion Group International scholarship fund and the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS.
