Tarrant Lands Simpson Deal
The Tarrant Apparel Group said it obtained the license to design, make, and distribute jeans and casualwear sold under singer Jessica Simpson’s name. Terms were not disclosed.
The company said the move is part of its efforts to diversify its private-label manufacturing base.
The Los Angeles company already makes garments for private brands, including American Rag Cie, which is distributed exclusively by Federated Department Stores, and Gear 7, which is sold in Kmart stores.
