TALA Names Board, Honorees
The Textile Association of Los Angeles will install its new board of directors on Jan. 27 at its annual luncheon. The association will also name Michael I. Goldman Member of the Year and present Ilse Metchek Pola with the Friend of Tala Award.
Hal Kaltman will continue as president of the organization, and Brian Thaler will continue as vice president. Board members Goldman and Dan Sassower will also serve as vice presidents. Carol Sachs Goldman will continue as secretary, and Hank Kalin will continue as treasurer. The 2005 board includes Michael Bokser, April Booth, Eileen Ellis, Peter Gelber, Pam Prentiss, Barry Maiman, Hank Pola, Fran Sude, Jeff Waldman, Ken Weinbaum and Joe Menichini. Rosa Gurrero will continue as executive administrator.
The luncheon, to be held in the California Market Center fashion theater, will feature an awards presentation honoring Goldman, executive vice president of Major Textiles, and Metchek Pola, executive director of the California Fashion Association.
