Workers' Comp Fight
Lawmakers, business owners and labor leaders are preparing for a protracted fight over gubernatorial appointee Andrea Hoch, named to help implement the state’s workers’ compensation insurance system, according to a recent report in the Los Angeles Times. The Senate Rules Committee has postponed Hoch’s confirmation hearings indefinitely to give everyone time to file comments, according to the report.
