CFA Plans Exporters Meeting
The California Fashion Association will host the meeting of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Exporters’ Textile Advisory Committee on March 16 in downtown Los Angeles.
The half-day meeting will feature an introduction by James C. Leonard, deputy assistant secretary of textile and apparel for the department’s Office of Textiles and Apparel, as well as seminars led by industry experts and other members of the OTEXA staff. Topics will include understanding ongoing international textile trade agreements, identifying new markets and overcoming trade barriers.
The featured speaker will be Robin Rangel, international trade specialist with the U.S. Customs & Border Protection office in Los Angeles, who will discuss “Safeguarding Intellectual Property Rights: What Exporters Should Know.”
The meeting will be held at the CFA’s office, located in the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. headquarters.
