Ross's New Execs
Ross Stores Inc. announced that Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Balmuth has assumed the additional title of president because James C. Peters, who served as president and chief operating officer since 2000, resigned from the Pleasanton, Calif.–based discount retail chain. The company also named seven new executives: Gary L. Cribb, executive vice president and chief operations officer; Michael B. O’Sullivan, executive vice president and chief administrative officer; James S. Fassio, executive vice president of property development, construction and store design; Barry S. Gluck, executive vice president, merchandising; Barbara Levy, executive vice president, merchandising; Jennifer Williams, senior vice president and general merchandise manager; and Barbara Rentler, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Ross’ DD’s Discounts division. Michael Wilson has also rejoined Ross as senior vice president, distribution and transportation, replacing Jeff Klingensmith, who left the company.
