Cherokee Taps UBS
Van Nuys–based Cherokee Inc. is looking for expansion opportunities. The company has retained UBS Investment Bank to help its board of directors look into possible strategic alternatives, according to a statement issued by the company. Several years ago, the company shifted from being a manufacturer to a marketer and licensor of several brands, including Cherokee and Sideout.
