Ashworth Adds Adler
Carlsbad-based golf lifestyle maker Ashworth Inc. added a new outside director to the company’s board. Detlef Adler is chief executive officer of Seidensticker, a German manufacturer of woven shirts and an Ashworth supplier. Adler is also a major shareholder in Ashworth. The board adopted a resolution allowing it to increase the number of members from six to seven. Beginning in January, Ashworth’s board will have six independent directors (as required by Nasdaq) and one employee director. Adler will also serve on Ashworth’s Compensation and Human Resources Committee and the Corporate Governance Committee and its Nominating Committee.
