Levi's Protest
Los Angeles–based anti-sweatshop coalition Sweatshop Watch held a Holiday-themed protest in front of the Levi’s store in Santa Monica, Calif., on Dec. 17. The protesters charged that garment workers who produce apparel for San Francisco–based Levi Strauss & Co. in the Lajat factory at Gomez Palacio, Mexico, have been working under sweatshop conditions.
