Hollywood Party
Steven Shaul (left) threw his Los Angeles–based company, Jelessy Collection, a one-year anniversary party at Hollywood’s Cabana Club on Aug. 17. More than 500 people dropped by, and models from the Ford and Wilhelmina modeling agencies informally displayed the jeans, which come in 48 colors. During the party, Shaul reflected on his company’s past and future. “My original vision for denim is that color would be the thing,” he said of his collection, which is in more than 400 doors, including Fred Segal Santa Monica. For Spring 2006, Jelessy will debut men’s, knit and handbag lines. —Andrew Asch
