Shoe Maven Feldman to Open FIG Market in Dallas
Footwear designer Beverly Feldman will meet and greet buyers Aug. 18 to open market week at the Fashion Industry Gallery contemporary wholesale mart, located in downtown Dallas.
Known for her stone-embellished creations, Feldman has gathered a stable of fans, including celebrities Oprah Winfrey, Katie Couric, Melania Trump, Kim Cattrall and the Hilton sisters. Her footwear is sold in top specialty stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus Direct, Barbara Jean Ltd. and The Glass Slipper.
Feldman’s company, now based in Ibiza, Spain, designs more than 1,200 footwear and accessories pieces annually. This will be Feldman’s first visit to Dallas in 15 years, according to FIG executives. The venue, which houses more than 100 lines, is located at 1807 Ross Ave. in the Arts District.
FIG executives also announced the mart’s second level will expand by 10,000 square feet for the October market.
Feldman joins a list of guest designers who have participated in the building’s “Designer Series,” including Tracy Reese, Charlotte Tarantola, Trina Turk, Gerard Yosca and Petro Zillia’s Nony Tochterman.
