Material World N.Y. Sets Seminar Schedule
A who’s who of textile, trade and technology executives will be presenting seminars and forums during the first Material World New York expo, set for Sept. 28–30 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
The headliner event, called “The Next Frontier in Fabric, Fiber and Thread,” will kick off the conference Sept. 28 at 8:30 a.m. Representatives from Invista, American & Efird, Fountain Set and Sapphire Textile Mills will be among those addressing topics such as business conditions, shifts in technology and general business trends.
Stephen Lamar, vice president of the American Apparel & Footwear Association, and Thomas Travis of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg will present “Dos and Don’ts in the New Trade Era” Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m.
Pantone, Trend Union and Cotton Inc. will also present color and trend forecasts, and Charles Komar & Sons will discuss financing international transactions.
