Loudermilk to Open Eco-Friendly Store

Mariana Danilovic, business partner of designer Linda Loudermilk, said the designer will open a “green” store on Melrose Place in Los Angeles by summer 2005. The building will feature such energy savers as solar panels and windows that minimize the use of electric lights.

Loudermilk has made environmentally friendly textiles an integral part of her eco-luxury couture by using materials such as “lenpur,” made from wood pulp; “eco-spun,” made from recycled plastic bottles; and organic cottons. —Andrew Asch
