Party for the Arty
For the past two years, Melrose boutique Frecuencia Modulada has sold one-of-kind clothes produced by Los Angeles and Mexican designers. Owners Chachin Rosas and Wendy Romero will close their shop at the end of April to concentrate on wholesaling their line, FM, which mixes pieces from vintage clothes with new T-shirts. FM is sold at stores such as Apartment 3 on La Brea Avenue.
For those who will miss Rosas’ deejaying, a farewell party will be thrown on April 29 at the store, where paintings by Los Angeles artist Matthew Ehrmann will debut.
