Nike Taps Microsoft Exec
Beaverton, Ore.–based footwear giant Nike Inc. named former Microsoft Corp. executive John G. Connors to its board of directors. Connors was previously senior vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer of the Redmond, Wash.–based computer and software giant. Connors was with Microsoft for 16 years until January 2005, when he left to join venture capital firm Ignition Partners LLC. According to a Nike statement, Connors will likely serve on Nike’s audit committee.
