Tempted Relocates, CEO Schoenholz Honored
Tempted Apparel Corp. said it nearly doubled the size of its corporate headquarters by moving to a new building in Bell, Calif., and that its founder and chief executive will be honored at the Inner-City Arts 2005 Imagine Awards.
Founded in 1996, the juniors sportswear manufacturer relocated its headquarters from Los Angeles to Bell, where it will occupy a 30,000-square-foot building that houses a distribution center, design and pattern room, and merchandising area. A spokesperson for Tempted said the company previously used a 17,000-square-foot building and that there is now more space for design at the new facility, which will employ 56 people.
Tempted Chief Executive Officer Steve Schoenholz will be honored at the Oct. 11 ceremony for Inner-City Arts at The Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills. Schoenholz is a decade-long supporter of the nonprofit education center, which provides daily programs in visual arts, dance, drama, ceramics, music and animation to more than 450 children. The awards ceremony is expected to draw more than 800 people and feature a live and silent auction as well as a Tempted fashion show starring the children of Inner-City Arts. Schoenholz’s rock band, Grey Dog, which includes George Bunnell from The Strawberry Alarm Clock and Skip van Winkl from the Bob Seger Band, also will play at the event. —Khanh T.L. Tran
