IFFE Prepares for New York Shows
The buzz in the aisles of the April 4–6 run of the Los Angeles International Textile Show was the fate of the International Fashion Fabric Exhibition (IFFE), which has not yet announced its Fall 2005 dates.
But rumors that the biannual New York–based fabric show has been cancelled are untrue, said Show Director Amy Bonomi, who is currently preparing for the show’s April 18–20 run at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. “We are weighing various options for the fall and hope to announce our fall dates shortly,” she said.
The scuttlebutt likely was compounded by the recent announcement that Material World, the Miami Beach, Fla.–based textile and global sourcing show, is holding a new show Sept. 28–30 at the Javits Center.
IFFE is organized by Advanstar Communications’ MAGIC International, which also hosts the Fabric@MAGIC show biannually in Las Vegas.
