O'Neill's Gibson Adds Lost to Duties
O’Neill Clothing said its president assumed the additional title of president of Dysfunctional Clothing Co., the American licensee of Lost Clothing USA. O’Neill has been making management changes in its ranks and DCC’s staff amid a growing surf market.
Kelly Gibson became president of DCC, effective March 31. O’Neill said that, after a brief transition, Gibson will ascend to the role of chief executive for both O’Neill and DCC. In turn, John Warner, the current chief executive officer at O’Neill and DCC, will become chairman of the two companies.
O’Neill and Lost are both based in Irvine, Calif., and use the same facility. But O’Neill said they will remain independent organizations with separate personnel. The family-owned O’Neill said it doubled its sales in the past three years and that Lost Clothing posted a 40 percent increase in annual sales in 2004. —K.T.L.T.
