Ferragamo Hosts Custom- Shoe Event
It looks like a measuring device used at any shoe store, but Salvatore Ferragamo’s shoemakers would like you to know that this device makes footwear of exquisite beauty.
The footwear in question is Ferragamo’s Tramezza Su Ordinazione handcrafted shoes for men. According to company representatives, the measuring device takes into account the particular quirk of every foot, from long toes to high arches, in the 77 shoe sizes the company makes.
The Ferragamo stores in Beverly Hills and the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif., will use the device to create individually fit, handmade shoes that will help introduce the specialty division of Tramezza in Southern California this month. Tramezza will debut later this year to most of the company’s worldwide markets.
The special fittings will be offered Sept. 29–Oct. 3 at the South Coast Plaza and Oct. 5–10 in Beverly Hills. After that, the special fittings will not be available, but Tramezza shoes will still be on sale. The company guarantees that the handmade shoes, which will take six to eight weeks to make, will last a lifetime.
