San Francisco Fashion Week '04: Zilda by Flavia
The look at the Zilda by Flavia show recalled the 2002 Maggie Gyllenhaal film “Secretary” with ladylike puffed-sleeve blouses and curve-hugging pencil skirts. Brazilian-born San Francisco designer Flavia kept to a muted palette of browns and grays but lightened up with blues and orange- cast pinks and marigold. Particularly strong was a color-blocked dress in brown and cornflower blue, as well as Y-neck tanks and skinny capris with contrast piping. —Alison N. Nieder
