Azria Tours BCBG Renovation
Even though he has been busy opening three free-standing BCBGMaxAzria stores and producing the musical “The Ten Commandments,” Max Azria managed to carve out time on Oct. 21 to tour the BCBG boutique inside Bloomingdale’s in Century City, Calif. The designer visited to survey the 500- square-foot boutique’s renovations, which had been finished on Oct. 20.
Bloomingdale’s BCBG boutique has a more spacious feel than before thanks to the removal of a decorative 6-foot-by-12-foot wall, and the store also got new fixtures and carpeting.
Azria signed autographs for well-wishers and reflected on his career making contemporary clothes for 25- to 35-year-old women.
“You also catch women aged from 15 to 50 with these clothes,” Azria said. “That’s the name of the game.”
