P. Ka Bu Sets Runway Lineup, Lands Scion
Independent fashion show producer and designer Jose Angel has landed Toyota’s Scion as a sponsor, secured a venue near downtown Los Angeles and set the lineup for the third run of his P. Ka Bu fashion show series, which will take place during Los Angeles Fashion Week.
The two-night event will feature fashion shows by Deborah Lindquist, Erica Rose, Szulika, Uriel Saenz, Meghan, Purp7e and Purp7e Agua, Hippie Chick Style, A Friend of Mine, Anett Schneider and Luis Diaz.
The shows will run Oct. 29–30 in a 20,000- square-foot Chinatown space that Angel has dubbed the “Blu Pinstripe Warehouse.” P. Ka Bu will run five shows each night, beginning at 5 p.m. Between shows, visitors will be able to visit the Scion Lounge and check out the carmaker’s 2005 models while sampling hors d’oeuvres and drinks from the Santa Monica, Calif.–based 310 Lounge and Bistro. Tony & Tina, Eric Dean Hair, Hpnotiq and Deepak Chopra LLC will also sponsor the event.
