Levant Buys Out Agenda Partner
Aaron Levant, partner of Los Angeles–based Agenda LLC, has purchased the 50 percent share of his business partner, Luis Pulido. Levant is now the sole owner of the company, which produces the Agenda streetwear trade show and owns the Agenda showroom in the California Market Center.
Levant would not divulge the amount of the deal.
Pulido also purchased Levant’s 15 percent partnership in Milk Distribution, the Los Angeles– based parent company of streetwear label Grn Apple Tree.
Pulido hired Levant in 2000 to do graphic work and marketing for Milk Distribution. Together they launched the Agenda trade show in January 2003. Both companies experienced growth this year and demanded more time from the partners, according to Pulido and Levant. “It worked out better to make a complete break instead of trying to pretend that we could be everywhere at once,” Levant said.
Pulido said Milk Distribution earned $1 million in revenue in 2004. Grn Apple Tree is sold at boutiques including The Closet in Newport Beach, Calif.
Levant, who produces six Agenda shows annually, will hold the next show Jan 14–16 in San Diego. He said the company earned $250,000 this year. —Andrew Asch
