CMC to Host January Glow
The California Market Center said it will host a new trade show focusing on lifestyle products during the same week it sponsors the Los Angeles Gift & Home Market and Los Angeles Fashion Market in January.
Capitalizing on the popularity of the spa and yoga-related lifestyle, Glow will feature young companies selling skincare, home deacute;cor, fashion accessories and other items. The invitation-only event, to be held Jan. 17–19, will include sculptures and tableware from Brooklyn, N.Y.–based Kiln Enamel and Kenyan-inspired candles and body products from Los Angeles’ Nyakio. Also available at the show will be a tea room sponsored by Breathe magazine.
A spokesperson for the California Market Center said Glow’s emphasis on artisanmade products and better boutiques and specialty stores will differentiate it from the larger Gift & Home Market. The spokesperson said more than 20 exhibitors will participate in Glow’s debut show. —Khanh T.L. Tran
