Gerber Hires Marketing Exec
Tolland, Conn.–based Gerber Technology Inc. has hired Bob Rivera as its new executive director of global marketing and key accounts. Rivera is responsible for strategic marketing and communications activities, key account management, and customer relationship management. He reports directly to Gerber President James Arthurs.
Rivera comes to the company from Lectra, where he was senior vice president of North American sales and marketing. He has also worked for the Eastman Kodak Co. and Newell Rubbermaid Inc.
“Bob will be instrumental in helping to design and engineer the customer experience of the future within Gerber,” Arthurs said. “He has a proven track record of achieving results, including one of the most important goals in any successful organization today— customer satisfaction.”
As a result of the move, Stephen Lovass, former executive director of product management and marketing, has been promoted to vice president of business development for Gerber’s sister company, Spandex, based in Brussels, Belgium. —R.M.
