Richard Tyler to Relaunch Eve in Dallas
Los Angeles designer Richard Tyler will relaunch Richard Tyler Eve, his bridge-priced eveningwear label, March 25–29 at the grand opening of Dallas’ new apparel wholesale mart, Fashion Center Dallas. He will also receive a fashion achievement award from the Dallas community at a March 26 fashion show during the Dallas market. Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt will present the award.
The FCD is a new showroom center, located in the World Trade Center on the Dallas Market Center campus. Most tenants from the soon-to-be-shuttered International Apparel Mart nearby are relocating to the FCD.
Tyler is taking a 1,000-square-foot temporary showroom at the FCD’s Scene, the temporary contemporary show opening on the 13th floor, where the designer will also have his Tyler young contemporary label available for viewing.
The Eve collection features about 20 silk party dresses and suits for consumers who want designer goods at price points below $1,000.
Tyler first rolled out Eve as an exclusive for the Limited Brands’ Henri Bendel Fifth Avenue boutique in New York. Tyler Sales Director Jim Villa said rising demand prompted the designer to expand the collection. —Robert McAllister
