Dukes Axes Lands' End
Duke University has suspended its licensing contract with apparel group Lands’ End Inc., citing complaints about labor practices at the company’s contracted El Salvador factory. The university alleges that some factory workers are being blacklisted for having ties to local unions. A Duke spokesperson said the university would consider renewing the trademark license once a remediation plan is put in place.
