Gerber Names Marketing Director for Asia
Tolland, Conn.–based Gerber Technology Inc. has named Rachel Ho as its marketing director for Asia. Ho will be responsible for directing marketing activities and strategies for the region from Gerber’s Hong Kong headquarters.
Ho came to Gerber from the Far East division of Warner Bros., where she was marketing manager. She held a similar position with Hong Kong–based Automated Systems Ltd.
James Arthurs, president of Gerber Technology, said the appointment of Ho reflects new investments for the region.
“We are increasing our investment in Asia substantially—particularly in the growth countries of India, Vietnam and China—to support those markets as they strive to keep up with rapidly increasing domestic and export apparel demands,” Arthurs said. “The company plans to increase its engineering, marketing, sales and support personnel in greater China alone from 130 to 180 this year.” —R.M.
